Role summary:

The  Auditor undertakes audit work in accordance with the Audit methodology by meeting required quality standards. Through supervised audit activities, the Auditor evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. In addition, the Auditor works in a cooperative manner with subject matter experts and other teams from across the function to provide ‘front-to-back’ audit coverage.

The Auditor proactively develops and maintains professional consultative working relationships with the audit team, clients and respective support areas and will use a range of approaches to collect relevant and readily available information to assess risk, resolve issues or carry out tasks.

The Auditor will execute audits in the area of Private and Commercial Clients (PCC), which covers the banking services for private clients and small and medium enterprises as well as other infrastructure and support functions.

Scope of duties and responsibilities:

  • Performs regulatory and risk- based audit assignments; undertakes work in accordance with the Audit methodology by meeting required quality standards
  • Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, delivers audit work (including audit planning tasks, tests of controls and preparation of the relevant documentation) and assists the more senior team members with drafting audit findings
  • Actively develops and maintains professional working relationships with colleagues both within the division and the wider business
  • Supports the preparation of detailed audit plan of a specific area
  • Supports the preparation and update of the risk assessment of selected areas of the retail division in Poland
  • Facilitates findings tracking and takes part in validation of closure of findings
  • Actively supports achievement of Bank’s/ Division’s strategy, plans and values, and ensures that a clear understanding and ongoing alignment of activities with the organization’s priorities is maintained.

Your profile:

  • 2-3 years of experience on a similar position in a big financial institution    
  • University degree, faculties: banking, finance and economy would be an advantage
  • Fluency in Polish and English, written and verbal
  • Familiarity with operational requirements of a global bank and a retail division is preferred
  • Some knowledge of auditing standards and concepts is preferred
  • Inquisitive nature but with ability to prioritize
  • Experience in building and managing effective relationships
  • Able to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organization
  • Good interpersonal, analytical and problem solving approach
  • Capacity to identify control weaknesses in a complex environment
  • Good communication skills, communicating with clarity, both verbal and in writing, in a logical order
  • Be willing to take risk and accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
  • Work Smart – i.e. execute quickly and efficiently
  • Willingness to travel

 

Knowledge, experiences or know-how in the following areas that are not prerequisite but would be an advantage for this position:

Highly preferable: deposit products, payments processing, capital market products sales, investment products (MiFID2), brokerage services, banc assurance products, debit and credit card products business

 

Job conditions

  • Fixed-term work contract (full-time) for 18 months (replacement), some travel may be required
