Overview:
 

We are looking for a talented and self-motivating Front-End Developer to be a member of the WoldView Client Information Experience team. This position is primarily responsible for development of business critical applications using html, css, java script and java script frameworks and libraries (jQuery, dojo, Angular, Backbone, etc.). This position requires a skilled individual who can contribute in a mature and proactive way to all phases of project lifecycle - i.e. more broadly then in a pure development role.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute technical expertise to requirements definition and take the lead on application design.
• Create proofs of concept or prototypes if required; guide the technical design of applications; contribute to database / data model design.
• Design and lead architecture improvements in the areas of quality, stability, capacity, and performance.
• Create detailed system design documents and conduct design reviews.
• Develop maintainable, well-documented application functionality with an eye toward standardization, common components, simplicity, performance, robustness and other attributes of enterprise-strength solutions.
• Utilize detailed and thorough practices including negative testing, testing of boundary conditions, etc., and work collaboratively with business areas to support UAT testing.
• Thoroughly test all functionality.
• Provide responsive support for business areas.
• Quickly resolve issues encountered by business lines in the production environment, maintaining a helpful, high touch' approach to working with business users.
• Involved in all technical decisions for the WorldView platform.
• Technical leadership and mentoring skills to guide and act as SME.
• Act as the primary technical contact. Coordinate with technical leads and architects across departments.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of solid HTML, CSS, and object-oriented JavaScript experience
• Knowledge in JavaScript design patterns
• Experience with development of cross-browser HTML
• Experience with Firebug, IE Developer tools, other debugging tools
• Experience with unit testing
• Experience with implementation of Single Page Applications
• Experience building and architecting end-to-end java solutions
• Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks (jQuery, dojo, underscore, Angular, Backbone, etc.)
• Cross-browser support
• Understanding of web design and usability concepts
• Proficiency in interpreting and troubleshooting applications using logs
• Desire to continue to learn new skills and develop professionally
• High degree of personal organization & structured approach to problems
• Ability to actively seek to determine upcoming risks and issues and address them
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative Excellent English language skills
