Key activities

• Timely and diligently performing allocated tasks assigned by management in the area of:
  • Daily bank accounts reconciliation
  • Preparation and processing of journal entries
  • Fixed Assets accounting and Project Accounting
  • Intercompany transactions processing
  • Accruals accounting
  • Performing period-end activities including ledger maintenance and preparation and validation of month-end data for Hyperion reporting
  • Performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Responding to queries from affiliates
  • Retaining records (i.e. documenting and archiving journals)
  • Dealing with ad-hoc administrative duties
  • Performing general ledger balances review, follow-up on open items
  • Resolving GL issues
• Identifying potential process improvements opportunities
• Proactively supporting process excellence team with implementation of process improvements
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting requirements, SLA and internal controls
• Providing audit support specific to accounts payable
• Active involvement in introducing new team members to their job

Key Qualifications required

• At least 2 years of experience in accountancy/finance
• University degree educational background in finance and accounting
• Experience with ERP accounting systems (e.g. Oracle)
• Very good understanding of GL end-to-end finance process
• Knowledge of international financial accounting standards (e.g. US GAAP, IFRS) would be an asset
• Very good language skills in English and Italian
• Practical knowledge of MS office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong analytical skills with attention to details
• Service oriented and professional working approach
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
• Experience in an international environment will be an asset

• Able to work under pressure and with deadlines
