Job description:
Global Billing Operations in Finance Operations performs Bill to Cash activities supporting various Shell businesses including Retail, Commercial Fleet, Aviation among others.   As a global team operating out of 2 main hubs in SBO Manila and Krakow, we manage over USD100b of annual sales with over USD40b in working capital for Shell.  Our process aims for flawless delivery, continuously improved cash and cost as well as customer experience. 
 
In relation to embedding full accountability for Retailer Billing process from Downstream Marketing Finance to Finance Operations, this new position in Finance Operations is created.
 
Retailers Billing operations team manages the daily cash flow generation and financial interaction with Retailers and Dealers, ensuring that transactional data from site is collected and interfaced to GSAP and ultimately billed to recover Shell proceeds on a daily basis. In addition to this, Retailer Billing manages the Real Estate elements of rent payments and collections, financial Wet Stock (HM) posting and management of month end processes.
 
The team work in partnership with FO Manila Retailer Billing for the daily execution of the transactional process.

The Local RB Analyst acts as an influential local representative to Business and other Support Functions, interfaces between various departments and supports the Team Manager for Retailer Billing in executing the Global Agenda locally, while also performing local transactional activities.

Principal Accountabilities:
 
Support Team Manager for Retailer Billing  for all Retailer Billing activities while Partnering the Business by:

- Ensuring all billing activities in the OU are processed in a timely and controlled manner as required for all billing elements and manage the principal interface for all transactional activity performed by the FO SBSC in Manila
- Manage local interfaces within the OU with key stakeholders, including Retail Finance, Retail Sales & Operations, Retail IT and BAM and local / regional customer service centre
- Manage the continued implementation / alignment of standardised global operator platforms for both CO and DO
- Ensure all RDS and FCM key control targets and standards are met in line with local country requirements and operated effectively, act as business owner of local controls framework. Ensure appropriate business controls are in place.
- Support the local business for the implementation of GSAP releases and CAP upgrades and implementations, and ensure that billing issues are managed and aligned with OPC & Streamline requirements, including the requirements for the SBSC Manila transactional team.
- Manage Change and Continuous Improvement programme within Retailer Billing locally and in SBSC Manila. Includes; Coordination of GSAP implementations; GSAP retrofit releases; Implementations and upgrades of Connected Applications and Middleware; GSOM implementation & compliance; OPC / Streamline adherence
- Local Projects: Role out of local initiatives in Cluster, Partner the Business by identifying and applying world class solutions

Manage activities and operate processes executed onshore such as:
- Responsible for analysing and reconciling account balance as assigned
- Provide support to Retail Business on Contract Termination and Account Finalisations
- Ensure financial posting accuracy especially at Fuel sales posting, manage adjustment posting and support reporting to Tax Authorities on fiscal memories
- Execute financial controls over Supplier Contribution Invoicing
- Operate administrative tasks onshore for Invoice Settlement and continuously seek opportunities for efficiencies and best practices in reducing non-value add activities
- Ensure adherence to Archiving requirements, manage archiving activities for own processes including recording to TRIM
- Resolve significant and unusual business issues by applying, sometimes in creative way, Group, national and international accounting standards
- Support Reconciliation of Fuel Stocks, operate reconciliation of Deliveries 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting expected
  • General overview on major accounting rules
  • Experience in accounting/finance area (min. 3 years)
  • Strong CI mindset
  • Understanding of business controls frameworks
  • Understanding of Retail finance processes, controls & systems would be additional advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Excel
  • Good command of English; Hungarian and Polish- fluent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very good stakeholder management
