Management of Service Delivery

  • Takes responsibility for the quality of service for assigned clients.
  • Performs and/or monitors quality and internal controls for all team deliverables.
  • Plans and manages the daily processes and the effective utilization of resources.
  • Identifies issues and problems in service delivery and carries out necessary corrective action, keeping team and Officer informed of issue. Records the issue in the issues log and tracks progress.
  • Ensures that Key Performance Indicators are produced and dispatched to Donor Sites as required.
  • Reviews corporate documentation on processes, procedures and controls and evaluates the continuing effectiveness of these and related systems, initiating remedial action as necessary. Ensures documentation exists for any client-specific procedures.
  • Monitors errors and potential breaches; completes relevant documentation and ensures training needs are identified and relevant training is carried out. Records the error in the errors log and track progress.
  • Ensures adherence to Company and Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manages absences, time keeping and holiday/cover arrangements within the teams.
  • Ensures contingency plans exist for the work of the team and where necessary contributes to the business continuity plans and tests for the whole company.
  • Participates in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products.
  • Assists with planning and management of all relevant project work.
  • Daily tax, periodic and/or ad-hoc tax report review and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

     

    Manage Relationships

  • Maintains close contact with Officer (Tax Manager), briefing him/her on all issues both actual and potential.
  • Develops and maintains good relationships with relevant colleagues in service support departments and contacts in Donor Sites.
  • Acts as focal point for contacts and meetings with other departments and external contacts.
  • Participates in Service Reviews and ad hoc client/donor site meetings.
  • Acts as a source of technical expertise on State Street systems.
  • Ensures appropriate training is provided for Direct Reports as and when required.

Leadership and Management

  • Leads and motivates staff, particularly direct reports.
  • Sets and maintains standards of personal and professional performance/behaviour; ensures staff accountability and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinates and implements training and development activities for individuals and the team.
  • Provides coaching, guidance and support to staff on technical, professional and client issues.
  • Develops and communicates a clear picture of team goals and approaches to business, based on a clear understanding of client requirements.
  • Agrees goals for team annually and keeps up to date on the Performance Review system during the year.
  • Monitors and appraises the performance of team – providing regular formal and informal feedback ensuring the Performance Review system is updated within corporate deadlines.
  • Assists with recruitment of new staff.
  • Participates in & supports company committees and initiatives.
