Senior Product Development Manager – Transfer Agency Anti-Money Laundering Product

As a Senior Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring global developments affecting the product, including regulatory, industry and client developments and demands. You will also assess developments and provide documented analysis and recommendations to the Global Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Product Management Head and Senior Transfer Agency and Firm Management to ensure BBH's Global Transfer Agency Product and Servicing model remains the best in its class. In your position as a Senior Product Development Manager you will be responsible for the Global Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Oversight Committee and governance function. You shall also take a leadership role in client discussions, as well as in the process of developing and maintaining client facing product materials. You will further assist the Global Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Product Manager in managing the Global Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering product team and defining tactical and strategic program changes and projects.

The position requires a well-regarded and positioned person which will be able to represent BBH at important industry forums, client and prospect meetings, as well as internal Partner-level meetings; an individual capable of leading at a senior-level and influence decisions.

Principal Responsibilities

Monitor Developments

• Effectively monitor developments affecting Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Product globally
• Monitor and assess global regulatory, industry and client developments
• Assess and analyze developments to find ways to enhance the BBH Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering product globally and minimize Anti-Money Laundering/ sanctions risks to the Firm
• Effectively communicate developments internally and externally at decision-making levels
• Make presentations to Senior Transfer Agency Management, including at Transfer Agency Steering, TAAG and BBH local board/ executive committee meetings, as applicable
• Develop a program to ensure constant industry and regulatory benchmarking occurs

Product Development

• Provide leadership and steering on the development of the Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Product
• Collaborate with all stakeholders at Senior Levels on Transfer Agency Anti-Money Laundering Product Developments
• Ensure product design consistently meets/ exceeds regulatory requirements and client expectations
• Lead development projects
• Assist in training of the Transfer Agency Ops Teams, as appropriate
• Manage other members of the Transfer Agency Anti-Money Laundering Product team and provide leadership across the team globally

Industry and Client Presence

• Ensure BBH Transfer Agency has effective, global industry presence and reputation in the area of Transfer Agency Anti-Money Laundering services
• Develop our industry presence and reputation further
• Join/ proactively participate in, or lead at, all key industry/ regulatory Committees/ working groups
• Present at BBH Client Board and other senior-level client meetings

Product Materials and Reporting

• Ensure Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Services agreements appropriately protect BBH even as regulatory developments and expectations change
• Proactively engage with the Office General Council, Compliance and Risk in order to ensure that the contracts are the best in their class for BBH and are acceptable for the clients
• Lead efforts to continually enhance these materials, including standard client operating guide
• Provide effective Senior Management reporting on Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering product and services to ensure Transfer Agency and Firm Senior Management can monitor Anti-Money Laundering risks associated with the product
• Design standard Client reporting that mitigates Anti-Money Laundering risks for the Firm
• Chair and continually enhance TAAG (?)
• Develop more proactive Client/ MLRO (?) engagement program for Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering

Quality Assurance

• Oversee development of effective Quality Assurance Program
• Ongoing management and development of this program/ product component

Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Program

• May have responsibilities to oversee development of Global Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Program

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

• College Degree
• Minimum of 10 years industry/ Transfer Agency experience
• Minimum of 8 years Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering experience
• Anti-Money Laundering designation/ training (ideal)
• Regulatory. Compliance, Risk or Audit experience (ideal)

Knowledge and skills

• Transfer Agency and Transfer Agency – Anti-Money Laundering knowledge
• Compliance and regulatory knowledge
• Experience with complex products
• Experience with global service models
• Experience with global funds industry
• Experience managing products with material regulatory risk
