Job description:
Scope description:

  • Management Information: steer preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual performance reporting; engage country finance on business drivers and MI requirements.
  • Perform review of planning and appraisal deliverables regarding Caspian Pipeline Consortium (monthly, quarterly, annual performance reporting, latest estimates)
  • Work with  Opex model for KZK assets (FYLE, ARPR process, OP)
  • Sign off of plan submissions to Shell Upstream International.
  • Prepare Performance Unit reviews at various accountability levels in each Business, as an indication of performance.  Actions to correct performance are recorded and communicated to relevant personnel.
  • Manage translation of the business plan into budgets (detailed activity plan), support communication of budgets. Collate the proposed activity levels with supporting material to prepare the financial programme in line with targets.
  • Perform analysis of Asset P&L and Full Life Cycle Cost Planning.
  • Engage with departmental Budget Holders and prepare departmental budgets and latest estimates (LE), challenge the Business inputs where necessary and ensure the General Manager’s sign off.
  • Prepare man info (budget, detailed latest estimated) appraisal analysis / comments and engage with Budget Holders on these.
  • Ensure Man Info is prepared correctly (Budget, Detailed L/E) 1st pass  appraisal analysis / comment)
  • Prepare Business Plan Detailed Financial Workbook (BP DFW) submission, maintain/run Finance Model (prepare model for the business plan).
  • Acts as Local OU process expert to support other process and business users.
  • Ensure compliance with the Shell Group Control Framework and relevant standards/guidelines. Identify and manage financial risks. Participate as line resource in Audits or Reviews that form part of the Assurance Plan of the company as required.
  • Financial controls execution.
  • Focal point role for external auditors, supporting Finance Managers in closing of audit findings

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in a finance related discipline (ACCA, CIMA would be an asset)
  • 5-7 years of work experience, including management reporting, budgeting, planning or financial accounting
  • Understanding of the flow of data from the various systems along with the accounting entries that are generated, be able to quickly identify and correct potential errors in a timely manner
  • Fluent English
  • Business partnering and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills to be capable of developing effective relationships with stakeholders and business partners
  • Expected to identify opportunities for optimization, streamlining processes and achieving greater organizational efficiency
  • Commercial mindset
  • Ability to work virtually
  • Ownership of business targets and results
  • Ability to translate business goals and value driving factors into financial and accounting requirements
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise to perform work independently with minimal supervision
