The major focus of this role is to supervise daily work of the Wire Team within State Street Alternative Investment Solution business, making sure that the team acts in line with internal controls and all regulations of Wire Transfers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise daily work of the Wire team, make sure the team performs work as per agreed priorities and meet expected quality and quantity metrics
- Act as a Subject Matter Export (SME), provide feedback and share in depth knowledge on Investor and Invoice Payments.
- Review Associates` work, perform quality checks on correctness of all payment’s details, payment’s status and related documentation and system input
- Verification all transactions in light of the risk they present and to apply appropriate transfer’s authentication procedure
- Review authorization of all payments, complying with FTTOP (Funds Transfer and Transaction Origination Policy)
- Work closely with other Supervisor(s) and Manager(s)
- Daily cooperation with other departments located in Ireland, NA and India
- Provide excellent client service
- Lead, develop and motivate the team
- Conduct regular team and 1:1 meetings
- Perform staff appraisals, address any staff performance issues, etc.
- Attend business interviews
- Promote risk awareness, assessment and control within team
- Participate in testing and implementation of process & system improvements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Typically candidate for the SA role will have 2-4 years of relevant fund industry experience with hands on experience on Investor and Invoice Payments reviews
- Knowledge of Wire Transfers regulations and processes
- Ability to identify transactions, banking routing codes and type of accounts
- Knowledge of the Funds structure
- University degree in Accounting/Finance/Business related area or proven work history of Investor Services operations
- Team player
- Flexible and eager to develop itself and others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to work with deadlines
- Ability to work on your own initiative, develop solutions and provide an input which enable to make the effective decisions Indicate any additional skills as preferred, or desired.
- Advanced computer skills, especially Excel
