Job description:

Purpose & Accountabilities

 

Purpose:
Global Billing Operations in Finance Operations performs activities supporting various Shell businesses including Retail, Commercial Fleet, and Aviation among others.   As a global team operating out of 2 main hubs in SBO Manila and Krakow, we manage over USD100b of annual sales with over USD40b in working capital for Shell.  Our process aims for flawless delivery, continuously improved cash and cost as well as customer experience. 
The Aviation Back Office (ABO) team performs after delivery into plane activities for Aviation. Currently the team is supporting approximately 38 countries with more than 350 airports globally. The ABO is responsible in ensuring all delivery data is captured, missing data is identified, corrected and invoiced to the customers.
 
The Billing Operations Aviation Associate is expected to have the relevant technical competencies to ensure smooth data processing from Airport system up to GSAP Shell Post Good Issue and also guarantee that deliveries are accurately and timely captured for the into-plane delivery Aviation systems for right first time billing.

This role will work closely with the Team Manager and the assigned Aviation Specialist in the delivery of the team’s priorities in alignment with the business goals.

Accountabilities
 
  1. Timely monitoring and accurate processing of data – taking ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and accurately processed
  2. Collect and input data into systems with high level of accuracy, maintain and update records
  3. Work with various stakeholders to identify errors’ root causes to fix them and enable timely processing of transactions
  4. Answer timely stakeholders requests for information, communicate in effective and efficient manner
  5. Work with various stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements that will enable timely processing of transactions
  6. Understand basic rules of applying ED&VAT taxation
  7. Support controls execution and control documentation maintenance
  8. Maintain and implement agreed individual development plan
  9. Ensure that all relevant Shell and SBO standards and guidelines are met
  10. Carry out ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

Key Competences
 
  • Stakeholder Management – should be able to handle discussions with the team and assigned stakeholders with minimum supervision, as required.
  • Finance & Accounting – basic knowledge in Accounting
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making – should be able to identify issues that can be resolved on their own and identify issues that are unusual and complex in nature and need further escalation
  • Issue Handling/Troubleshooting – should be able to resolve simple/normal issues on their own and identify
 Basic Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management or its equivalent
  • Strong command in English, both oral and written
  • Highly organized - committed in meeting deadlines
  • With clear demonstration of teamwork, flexibility, change adaptability, initiative, analytical thinking, and problem solving capacity
  • Attention to details
