Job description:
AR Senior Accountant  will focus on operational excellence in the delivery of their process responsibilities. They will build a deep knowledge of the outputs required and ways of working to deliver these, along with the tools and systems that are an integral enabler of the process. They will work collaboratively with colleagues in R&A and their peers from other processes where operational excellence or data integrity impacts on the Cards Accounting delivery.  
AR Senior Accountant position is responsible for providing proactive and effective support to the Fleet Solution Business and Line Manager. The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise to perform his work independently with minimal supervision. The Analyst must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication skills and be capable of developing effective relationships with his Stakeholders and business partners.The Analyst will also handle a variety of financial/business activities related to Month End Closing. The Analyst is also expected to identify opportunities for optimization, streamlining processes and achieving greater organizational efficiency.

- Timely and accurate control on automatic interfaces – take ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and accurately processed
- Thoroughly check of own and team members work prior to completion of posting to avoid unnecessary corrections
- Reconciling and balancing monthly Group transactions
- Preparing monthly account analysis for Blackline reporting
- Work with various Shell partners to identify and develop necessary procedures that will enable the timely recording and balancing of transactions
- Process MJEs entries needed for the current month
- Understand & account for withholding tax, VAT and CIT
- Support SOX documentation maintenance and internal/external audits walkthroughs
- Answer stakeholders requests for information
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in an effective and efficient manner
- Act as an effective team player
- Maintain and implement agreed self-development plan
- Ensure that all relevant Shell and SBO standards and guidelines are met; compliance to SOX rules and guidelines
- Carries out coordination tasks for the team, or acts as a team leader deputy upon request
- Carry out other assignments assigned by the supervisors

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management or its equivalent
  • Minimum 3-years experience in Billing, Reconciliation, Financial Analysis and Accounts Receivable
  • Basic knowledge in Process Controls & Compliance or similar field
  • Strong command in the English, both oral and written
  • Highly organized - committed in meeting deadlines
  • Confident in dealing with counterparts, business partners, stakeholders
  • With clear demonstration of teamwork, flexibility, change adaptability, initiative, analytical thinking, and problem solving capacity
  • Attention to details
  • Very good communication skills
  • Very good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Ms Outlook
  • Desired knowledge of GSAP accounting system and/or SUN
