Job description:
Joining CP (Contracting and Procurement)  means to be part of a dynamic, challenging and leading edge procurement team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will lead, coach and support a team of staff. The Team leader optimizes resource deployment and work load, assures optimized sourcing and execution processes.
The Team supports Compliance with Category Strategy, CP process and assurance programs and ensures a high quality of Contract Basics as foundation for TQ performance.


Accountabilities:
 

  • The Team will develop, tender, negotiate, award and manage contracts in line with the specific business demands and in line with the Category/business strategy.
  • Drive value delivery on an opportunity basis, portfolio optimization and rationalization and implement Framework Agreements and Category contracts.
  • Manage tail end spend by working in close coordination with category managers and Business CP and drive channel management and operational excellence
  • Monitor contract and contractor performance and manage supplier and customer relationships
  • Drive a model of individual Ownership & Accountability across CP Operations.
  • Identify, develop and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities to further streamline and simplify processes and activities. Relentlessly eliminate nonstandard working processes and ensure adherence to CMCP and business governance.
  • Support a culture where a high quality of basics is the norm. The Foundation for TQ performance are high quality contract basics and meeting contract planning requirements
  • Manage the staff, their Delivery Performance, appraisal. Professional development is key. Demonstrate HSSE and Code of Conduct behaviour in dealings with staff, colleagues and contractors.
  • Act as an active member of the CP Ops F&T XLT, build highly collaborative relationships, ensuring that CP strategies and processes are fully aligned with the business objectives and strengthen CP bottom line contribution.
  • Deliver functional excellence in the Sourcing and Execution of contracts and in the RtP Process. This includes management of cycle times in accordance with business needs and ensuring CP Operations as organization and CP Operations managed processes are trusted and felt as easy to work with.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Strategy supports Goal Zero Aspiration through implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to business personal and process safety Goal Zero focus areas.
  • Ensure a strong connect across the E2E CP organization, the Global Centers of Excellence and the wider global CP organization, to ensure bi-directional sharing and leverage of best practices. Ensure this connection is effective at all levels in the organisation
  • Drive performance improvement, incl. through Visual Management
  • Proactively lead, analyse and drive Channel Management & RtP compliance. Ensure the correct and most efficient RtP Channel (ERP, GCC) is used to execute transactional requirements.
  • Lead, support and personally develop a high performing team of empowered CP professionals aligned with business goals and focused on operational excellence and commercial results. Foster customer mind-set and collaboration at pace with the business. Enable people to succeed by removing barriers to performance, addressing underperformance and rewarding success.

 
Dimensions:

  • Sourcing goods and services for operational portfolio with a focus on Finance, Legal, Business Consultancy and Corporate categories.
  • Manage annual third party spend in range of 60 million US$ per annum.
  • Contracts: +/- 700 contracts.
  • Accountable for staff management of 9 Buyers/Sr. Buyers with potential to further grow (number likely to grow due to migrations of additional scope and portfolio optimization activities)
  • Execution sourcing activities end to end across multiple Businesses/Functions supporting all Shell operated countries onboarded by CP Operations.

Requirements:
Requirements:

  • Professional procurement background with preferably 5 years commercial experience.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Group CMCP process and commercial contract management
  • Strong interest in leading, coaching and developing CP staff
  • Enables and empowers team to contribute, recognise people (Engage & Perform).
  • Awareness of respective Business environment and how operations effect the Business bottom line
  • Good commercial and negotiation experience in Category Management, Procurement Delivery/Operations
  • Good customer focus, engage and manage business relationships
  • Good understanding of RtP process and what drives performance and functional excellence in RtP
  • Ability to execute projects, manage related changes and resolve conflicts at multiple levels
  • Ability to work with multiple ERPs’ (e.g. GSAP, SERP, Blueprint)
  • Be results oriented
  • Well organized and able to manage competing priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
  • Good inter-personal skills.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing in an effective manner. Fluent in English.
  • Continuous improvement and simplification mindset. Support staff to obtain CIPS/ISM qualification and Continuous Improvement certification.
