Join us as a Payroll Professional
 

As the Payroll Professional you will be responsible for collecting and calculating payroll information for salaried and hourly employees, across all European BBH locations; processes and verifies the accuracy of all payment processing and tax filings; assists in researching assessments received from various agents and processing items ancillary to the payroll, such as garnishments; is engaged in the co-ordination of all internal and external audits of payroll. You will report directly to the Global Head of Payroll based in Krakow, Poland.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Collect and calculate payroll information for both salaried and hourly BBH employees across all European BBH locations.
  • Review and reconcile data entered by other team members, prior to payroll processing, to ensure the accuracy of information.
  • Confirm the accuracy of time sheets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements  and internal policies and procedures.
  • Verify standard withholdings and deductions from gross pay amounts.
  • Collaborate with appointed vendor to ensure a streamlined experience for all BBH employees.
  • Prepare reports for the Payroll Manager and other teams across BBH, as required.
  • Perform month end reporting procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations.
  • Assist in year-end reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure SLAs and service quality meets expectations through formal tracking and review of performance. 
  • Review vendor contract for agreed upon SLAs.
  • Escalate to the Payroll Manager on reported issues and liaise with the vendor to ensure timely resolution.
  • Work with vendor’s Service Delivery Manager to implement business standards for communication between teams and recommend improvements based on ongoing observations.
  • Lead and participate in pre/post production meetings with the vendor to ensure alignment on key watch items.
  • Participate in the annual cost forecasting exercise.
  • Track, review received invoices and submit them for payment. 
  • Actively participate and coordinate the activities for the payroll conversion to new vendor (if applicable).
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement agenda for Asia & Europe strive to optimize work processes to improve quality of the service, accuracy of the data or timeliness of activity.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Accounting, Payroll Administration or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Experience working with external vendors.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and systems interfaces.
  • Excellent PC skills, full fluency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus.
