Job description:
Global Billing Operations in Finance Operations performs activities supporting various Shell businesses including Retail, Fleet Solution and Aviation among others.  As part of global team operating out of 2 main hubs in SBO Manila and Krakow, we manage 20 entities with over USD 28b of annual sales. Billing Analyst position is responsible for providing proactive and effective support to the Fleet Solution Business and Line Manager. The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise to perform his work independently with minimal supervision. The Billing Analyst must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication skills to develop effective relationships with his stakeholders and business partners. The Analyst will also handle a variety of financial/business activities related to Month End Closing and controls.
This role will work closely with the Team Manager and the assigned Cards Specialist in the delivery of the team’s priorities in alignment with the business goals:
 

  1. Perform detailed analysis of proceeds and costs related to Fuel Cards transactions throughout the month
  2. Perform daily and monthly accounting entries into ERP systems in line with Revenue IFRS, ensuring accurate Month end closure of the Accounts Receivable
  3. Timely monitor and accurately process cards transactions data – taking ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and accurately processed and reconciled
  4. Collaborate with other Revenue colleagues and other processes to ensure timely closure of ledger
  5. Perform analyst role in balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all control requirements are met on a timely basis
  6. Operate all SOX and internal controls in line with Work Instructions and the Group controls framework
  7. Participate in Revenue special projects (H3, EVE, new CVP contracts etc.) & timely and effectively respond to special data/project requests
  8. Maintain and implement agreed individual development plan
  9. Ensure that all relevant Shell and SBO standards and guidelines are met
  10. Carry out ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor

  • The Billing Analyst will be responsible for the analysis and reconciliation of various type of Fuel Cards transactions on a daily/weekly/monthly basis including error monitoring and correction of differences with partner statements.
  • The role will support Finance Advisors and Finance Managers in their work for the Shell Downstream business – Shell Fleet Solution. Billing Analyst will have close interaction with the various stakeholders within FO (inside and outside Billing), GRA as well as various class of business.

 
 Requirements:

  1. University degree in Finance or Accounting or certification in progress
  2. At least 1-year experience in Finance or Accounting
  3. General overview of major accounting processes
  4. Very good working knowledge of Word, Excel and MS Outlook
  5. Experience of using a major ERP system such as SAP, SUN (optional)
  6. Good command of English (B2/C1) with good interpersonal skills
  7. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  8. Able to work independently and keen to take responsibility
  9. Self-motivated, proactive, improvement driven and customer focused
