Job description:
We are looking the candidate for Finance Analyst position for a team which is responsible for the financial support and closing processes for Upstream Norway. Position concentrates mainly on MI Analyst activities with close interaction with the various stakeholders within FO (inside and outside R&A).
 

  • The role of Analyst will be to ensure that all reporting activities & responsibilities are performed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
  • Position is responsible for providing proactive and effective support to business and Connect process.
  • The candidate will handle a variety of financial/business activities related to Month-end close and Reporting. This includes: Accrual Analysis, Month Close Activities, Cost Allocations, Costs Reporting , SOX/Financial Controls and other MI activities required by organization
  • Finance Analyst is also expected to identify opportunities for optimization, streamlining processes and achieving greater organizational efficiency

Requirements:

 

  • Master's Degree following areas: Finance/Accounting/Economics
  • Min. 1 year of professional experience in Accounting or Reporting and Analysis 
  • Thorough understanding of financial and management accounting 
  • Analytical, systems/process and accounting skills, with the ability to recognize underlying issues and develop appropriate resolutions  
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (Month End Activities) 
  • CI mind set, able to identify opportunities and manage change
