Job profile:

 

Global Marketing’s Creative Services Manager is the front line for refined, precisely crafted communications that engage clients, prospects and employees and help drive brand affinity for State Street.

 

You’ll report to the Head of Global Brand and Creative and lead a team of skilled print and digital production designers, presentation designers and project managers who share your passion for branding, design, communication systems, workflow efficiency and the almighty grid.

 

Using your knowledge of creative strategy, needs-based assessment, design, production and workflow management, you’ll lead the creation of high-quality, consistently branded sales enablement materials, marketing communications, promotional assets, presentations, design templates and template suites.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the intake, design and production of go-to-market communications and presentations for sales enablement, product and solution marketing, internal and external campaigns
  • Champion brand integrity, workflow efficiency and creative quality across all interactions
  • Drive efficient, on-time delivery coordinating with Global Marketing account and campaign managers, content creators and the Global Brand and Creative team
  • Create and maintain communication template masterplans, template suites, asset archives (photos, illustrations, etc.) and standards, ensuring clear organization and documentation of files
  • Ensure alignment with Global Brand and Creative policies and procedures
  • Where required, prepare and lead presentations to internal stakeholders
  • Where required, oversee production implementation, including proper preparation of clean production files, vendor communication, writing specifications, soliciting estimates, attending site visits and press approvals
  • Hold regular team and project status meetings with required stakeholders, ensuring interdependencies are clear and programs stay on track
  • Mentor team members, ensuring they feel engaged, valued and supported

 

Education and Experience:

  • Formal training in graphic design
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in a design studio, agency or in-house creative department
  • 3-5 years of experience directing and managing a design team
  • Extensive experience creating brand identity systems, communication systems and campaigns for large, complex brands
  • Deep knowledge of design workflow, production processes and project management methodologies
  • Expert knowledge of offset printing, digital printing and on-screen production
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud in a Mac OS X environment (at minimum InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat)
  • Experience creating design solutions in Microsoft Office apps
  • (Powerpoint, Word, Excel); Experience with Microsoft Publisher is a plus
  • Experience creating design solutions for desktop, mobile or web UIs is a plus
  • Experience managing and coordinating with external production vendors
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in visual design, web design, production and marketing
  • An understanding of B-to-B and/or institutional marketing is a plus
  • An understanding of financial industry trends, concepts, challenges and products is a plus
