Job Description
- Support the day to day operations of the GL function within the EMEA region
- Process General Ledger transactions including journal entries, fixed assets, accruals, corrections, GL accounts reconciliations, month-end closing activities
- Review P&L and balance sheet reconciliation
- Manage period closing process and financial reporting
- Oversee and perform asset management accounting
- Resolve GL issues
- Identify potential process improvements opportunities
- Support other team members in day to day processes
- Proactively support process excellence team with implementation of process improvements Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting requirements, SLA and internal controls
- Provide external and internal audit support
The Successful Applicant
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or economics or recognised
- Accounting qualification 2 -8 years of experience in accounting within a Shared Service environment
- Strong communicator, proficient in English language (spoken and written)
- Working knowledge of ERP
- Accounting systems (SAP, Symfonia)
