Job description:

Job Purpose:
 
CP (Contracting and Procurement) Operations is a global organisation of approximately 800 FTEs with a large proportion of its population in the Shell Business Operations. Its purpose is to create value through simpler and more efficient operations, connected to the business bottom line.
 
The Engagement & Change Lead must be able to provide professional communication expertise and change management skills to support the delivery of the objectives of the Organisation. This person will be the single focal point responsible for coordination/content preparation  of VP messaging and engagement, providing engagement integration support between the various GMships, and building a culture of community and collaboration across the employee population via the various communication channels used in Shell.

Accountabilities:
 
- Develop, own and manage the Communications & Engagement Strategy & Plan for CP Operations.
- Create, design and ensure content of the CP Operations Sharepoint intranet site is relevant and up to date, with ongoing publication of relevant key pieces of information, e.g. dashboard, content articles, org charts.
- Writing, editing and delivering high quality content across a range of subject areas for internal channels, such as VP notes, webcasts, announcements, success stories, digital media, video, presentations, print media, website copy, blogs, emails and banners. 
- Ensure full and effective utilisation of communication channels across the Organisation, e.g. Yammer, Sharepoint, Temperature checks, Mentimeter polls to create a desired knowledge sharing network and sense of community.
- Manage the Network of CP Operations Engagement Focal Points – chair monthly meetings to provide upskilling support in communications, and ensure that they can support the ongoing delivery of the comms plan.
- Facilitate CP Operations Global Quarterly Webcasts – agenda, slide content and speaker engagement and VP quarterly and annual messages.
- Coordinate engagement sessions of the CP Operations XLT members and any other relevant ongoing engagement sessions, e.g. VP “Open Mike” and new joiner Welcome Sessions.
- Ensure meaningful feedback gathering on any staff engagements and provide to VP/LT.
- Coordinate VP Award communications, judging process & engagement with winners, in addition to Instant Thank-you process on an ongoing basis.
- Represent CP Operations on the CP Communications Network.
- Own design & content of relevant standard engagement packs for CP operations, e.g. CP Operations Guide & Runbook.
- Support CP Operations LT members with any ad hoc communication and engagement requirements on an ongoing basis.

- Ensure that CP Operations communications adhere to the Shell brand guidelines and visual identity.
 

Requirements:

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Min 5 years in professional corporate communications/change management role with a passion to ensuring industry best practices are adopted.
- Robust writing, proofing and editing skills are fundamental (English samples required).
- High-energy individual who can demonstrate a high degree of initiative, drive, and with an ability to translate business objectives and complex content into understandable messaging via optimal communication channels.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across a broad range and seniority of stakeholders to seek an in depth understanding allowing for the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workload priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Advanced Powerpoint, Sharepoint and HTML knowledge. 
- Development of visual communications experience is a plus.
- University degree or equivalent required.
- Experience in virtual, multicultural working environment preferred.
- Continuous improvement and simplification mindset.
