Since the whole procurement structures are being expanded - (not migrated) - there are all positions available. Based on experience and seniority you will be matched with the following roles:

OPERATIONAL BUYER

• Complete, release, monitor and follow-up purchase orders,
• Check if purchase requisitions are complete (in accordance to internal requirements),
• Support supplier evaluation by providing required information,
• Communicate directly with internal stakeholders (different departments like HR, Finance, IT, Logistics, etc.),
• Contribute to invoice resolution and recording goods receipts,
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

TACTICAL BUYER

• Having support up to the individual capability with:
• - Planning and execution of sourcing for Lufthansa Group companies,
• - Negotiations with suppliers.
• Support internal clients in performing demand analysis,
• Gather and challenge specifications to ensure a sufficient documentation of requirements for tendering,
• Prepare (commercial aspects, risk evaluation, contractual parameters) and agree evaluation matrix for a consisting scoring approach;
• Analyze and compare competing proposals, prepare vendor selection decisions.

STRATEGIC BUYER

• Independently handling:
• - Planning and execution of sourcing for Lufthansa Group companies,
• - Negotiations with suppliers and contract finalizations (with legal department).
• Conduct market researches to support business cases, find alternative products, suppliers and monitor price trends,
• Analyze spend data within the Group to drive procurement measures,
• Monitor supplier performance and identify potential risks,
• Maintain procurement projects and saving results,
