Job Description
Since the whole procurement structures are being expanded - (not migrated) - there are all positions available. Based on experience and seniority you will be matched with the following roles:
OPERATIONAL BUYER
- Complete, release, monitor and follow-up purchase orders,
- Check if purchase requisitions are complete (in accordance to internal requirements),
- Support supplier evaluation by providing required information,
- Communicate directly with internal stakeholders (different departments like HR, Finance, IT, Logistics, etc.),
- Contribute to invoice resolution and recording goods receipts,
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
TACTICAL BUYER
- Having support up to the individual capability with:
- - Planning and execution of sourcing for Lufthansa Group companies,
- - Negotiations with suppliers.
- Support internal clients in performing demand analysis,
- Gather and challenge specifications to ensure a sufficient documentation of requirements for tendering,
- Prepare (commercial aspects, risk evaluation, contractual parameters) and agree evaluation matrix for a consisting scoring approach;
- Analyze and compare competing proposals, prepare vendor selection decisions.
STRATEGIC BUYER
- Independently handling:
- - Planning and execution of sourcing for Lufthansa Group companies,
- - Negotiations with suppliers and contract finalizations (with legal department).
- Conduct market researches to support business cases, find alternative products, suppliers and monitor price trends,
- Analyze spend data within the Group to drive procurement measures,
- Monitor supplier performance and identify potential risks,
- Maintain procurement projects and saving results,
The Successful Applicant
- Previous experience in Procurement
- Very good command of English language,
- Very good command of German language (min. B1),
- Working knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel, PowerPoint),
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
- Openness for traveling during the induction period (2-3 days/week, short & direct flights).
