Job summary:

The Internal Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of the internal communications program for State Street in EMEA.

 

 

We’re seeking a new member of our team who will:

  • Support and execute against annual internal communications programs that engage employees in the achievement of the regional business’ local goals, aligned with corporate initiatives and goals. 
  • Support the execution and delivery of innovative communications tactics across a variety of channels including our social intranet platform (Collaborate), email newsletters, video, audio, online and internal meetings and more.
  • Be responsible for writing communications materials inclusive of articles, blogs, posters, TEAM TALKs (manager toolkits), emails, briefing documents and presentations as required.
  • Help manage and update the EMEA Collaborate Communities with relevant local news and information.
  • Coordinate employee events, including executive Town Halls, employee roundtables, Employee Speaker Series etc.
  • Work with the broader team to ensure that global and regional initiatives are consistently and successfully executed locally.
  • Track and measures the effectiveness of internal communications programs and continuously makes improvements to meet communications program objectives.
  • Build and maintains strong relationships with peers, local management and regional and global colleagues.

 

To be successful in this role, your experience should include:

  • Five to eight years of communications experience, preferably within financial services
  • Excellence in verbal and written communications and knowledge of communications best practices.
  • Solid understanding of social media, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and general computer proficiency.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interface with colleagues from all disciplines, backgrounds and cultures to produce content that is interesting and relevant.
  • Must be a highly motivated and energetic self-starter who is able to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment—both independently and as a dedicated team member.
  • Language skills such as French, German or Italian would be useful
