Job summary:

The Business Risk Management (BRM) team is responsible for ensuring State Streets Alternative Investment Services Hedge Funds business has the proper processes and controls in place to reinforce efficiency of process, minimize operational errors, and ensure compliance with corporate policy, regulations, and laws.  Without the proper control environment in place, AIS Hedge will be hindered from growth and expansion of product approvals. BRM achieves these goals by developing, designing and documenting controls and advising on business process design.

Additionally, BRM is expected to report emerging risks, identify causes and track remediation efforts.  BRM is required to have detailed knowledge of the regulatory and corporate requirements relevant to the business.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, experience working with and analyzing data, knowledge of the financial services industry, and the ability to work well in a team environment.  This position will report directly to the Regional VP of Business Risk Management.

 

We’re seeking a new member of our team who will:

  • Assist in the writing of policies and procedures associated with business risk controls.
  • Review incidents reported in the business globally.
  • Produce reporting for governance committees, including Business Risk Management Forum
  • Escalate any perceived violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and recommend a course of action.
  • Work with sets of data to analyze trends and produce reporting
  • Participate in corporate project implementation

 

To be successful in this role, your experience should include:

  • Excellent writing, data management, and reporting skills
  • Excellent facility with excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Attention to detail and dedication to the pursuit of data quality
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity·
  • Experience in compliance, audit or risk roles in the financial services industry a plus
