AML/KYC Investor On-Boarding Manager
Location: Kraków, małopolskie

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting AML/KYC Investor On-Boarding Manager to join our Transfer Agency team. In this role you will be responsible for directing team resources to achieve overall client satisfaction and will be evaluated on their ability to provide client satisfaction as efficiently as possible, while mitigating operational risk. Achieving this will require leadership, initiative, creativity, management skills, including delegation and the ability to instill enthusiasm and commitment among team members. In addition, you will need to continuously analyze the market for Best Practices and benchmarking techniques to ensure that BBH policy for TA is aligned to best market practice.

As a TA IOB Manager you will be responsible for managing all issues associated with staff, workflow and client relationship management in Krakow as part of the account opening and ongoing due diligence process. You will  be the principal point of contact for the TA IOB Team; will participate in conference calls, client meetings and presentations as required by the business.

In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with existing group and departmental policies, which will be measured through audits and reviews, and create standards within the respective teams to enhance workflows. It is expected that the manager will be the subject matter expert for the escalation of any issues that arise from account opening as well as ongoing due diligence processes.

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Establish service standards for our clients within the core areas of investor on boarding and ongoing monitoring.
  • Be responsible for instituting and reporting on measures to determine the team's performance in meeting these standards.
  • Ensure regular contact is made with clients, ensure any service issues are addressed immediately and efficiency improvements and automation are identified and implemented.
  • Provide second level of escalation for clients.
  • Ensure any issues, errors or complaints are escalated accordingly, and that adequate steps are taken to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure all activity is carried out in accordance with the Funds documentation.
  • Ensure all work is processed and/or reported in accordance with the agreed operating procedures.
  • Effectively manage a team of 30+ employees through team leaders and supervisors
  • Responsible for handling employees failing to meet team expectations.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are in place, to meet both daily and future business requirements.
  • Responsible for handling employees failing to meet team expectations.
  • Review and reorganize functional tasks for maximum efficiency.
  • Minimize overtime and to implement additional efficiencies as automation projects are completed.
  • Responsible for managing the team's expenses.



  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience
  • Experience in AML, KYC, Transfer Agency will be an asset
  • Experience in planning, initiating and following through to meet objectives.
  • Be able to demonstrate ability to coordinate with other departments to meet client needs.
  • Proven track record in identifying, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; German and / or French is desirable.
  • Well developed IT skills Working knowledge of European regulation for AML/KYC would be advantageous.
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues with discretion
