The Assurance Team creates simple, lean Contracting and Procurement (CP) processes & tools. Clear minimum standards that avoid superfluous activities while fully addressing relevant Control Frameworks. Continuously improve CP discipline with a view towards future standards.
The Group CP Internal Assurance Advisor is a member of a team to drive CP professionalism in the areas of category, supplier and contract management. Assist in bringing insight into the effectiveness and efficiency of category, contract and supplier management through robust data analysis and timely reporting of current performance, gaps and challenges. Assist to Identify and introduce external best practice to the CMCP (Category Management and Contracting and Procurement process) while continually driving for simplification of business processes aligned with control frameworks. Provide guidance to the development of CP tools and systems.
Responsible to support the delivery of a fit for purpose program that drives assurance in category, supplier and contract management, including; developing appropriate KPIs, demonstrating current levels of performance and gaps/challenges to TQ and developing action plans to address current performance gaps. Includes the roles of Coordination of CMCP Red Threads and Tester for CP Line of Defence 2 Assurance Reviews.
Supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent degree.
A minimum of 5-10 years professional experience.
Effective communicator with the ability to operate effectively in different cultural environments and at different organizational levels.
Knowledge of legal, finance, taxation and commercial issues.
Knowledge and experience with international procurement, contract law
Engaging and influencing key stakeholders within CP and the Functions (like Red Thread Owners).
Analyse markets, suppliers, supply chains and cost models.
Understand and drive contract management and performance improvement.
Understand capital Project requirements and drive CP opportunities.
Understand, execute and improve CP processes and systems.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to interact credibly with & influence senior leaders.
Strong communication, engagement, facilitation, and teaching skills.
Proven CP professional with practical Assurance experience and delivery experience.
Project & Change management skills.
