Job Description
- Develops and manages the commercial framework for a number of carriers ensuring contracts are in place, re-negotiation timetables established, service level agreements regularly updated and regular contract reviews are undertaken
- Ensures that safety and service items are included within the contract review agendas
- Ensures contract reviews are documented and follows up on outstanding actions with carriers
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to make sure that operational requirements and service standards are being achieved and produce a monthly report to summarise the achievement of KPIs where appropriate
- Develop good working relationships with carrier key personnel and support the carriers with business briefing communications to ensure that their business agendas are aligned with the needs of the business
- Reviews significant service issues (dependent upon specific contract requirements)
- Prepare and maintains business contingency plans
- Provide visible leadership in engaging carriers
- Ensures all incidents are reported and investigated, and remedial actions completed in a timely manner
- Acts as the key individual in ensuring that carrier actions are dealt with in a timely manner
- Evaluates and authorises invoices as necessary relating to specific contracts
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in order to meet future targets, and develops plans with carriers to implement, and displays good change leadership qualities
- Develops relationships with internal stakeholders in operations to ensure that the company complies with its commitments to the carrier, including service related and safety
