Job Description
- Ensure that testing addresses requirements as agreed with all stakeholders
- Partner with product,engineering, and senior leadership to develop the quality roadmap. Drive implementation of standards, methods, metrics and procedures that ensure the quality of our software products
- Provide leadership in defining the automation methodologies, strategies,standards, tools, best practices for automation processes
- Analyse existing systems which may lack formal technical requirements and develop full test strategies
- Develop test plans. Design and execute tests across our web, mobile and desktop applications
- Report on and drive increased test automation coverage in all areas
- Design automation roadmap and work with the team to execute against it
- Design, build, and review automation tests and automation scripts
- Hire, manage, and retain outstanding quality engineers. Set goals with the team, prioritise tasks, and own deliverables
- Create, advocate, and coach test automation best practices to team members
- Participate in sprint planning and user story grooming sessions to provide input on testing tasks and estimates
- Generate periodic test reports to show test metrics and track quality KPIs
- Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Performs release validation testing and beta support for projects
- Researches problems anddevelops solutions to the problems
- Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits
- Assists in training and mentoring less experienced peers
- Identifies and evaluates new technologies and development environments
The Successful Applicant
- Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban), DevOps methodology
- 5+ years minimum experience testing REST APIs, SQL, UI, Mobile
- 5+ years of hands-on QA management experience
- 2+years' experience with Jenkins or another CI software
- B.Sc. Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- ISTQB Advanced
- Proven experience leading large conversion testing efforts
- Ideally, experience with Black Knight MSP (Mortgage Service Provider) conversion testing
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (agile and waterfall)
- Ability to both direct QA testers and Project Test Managers, and help team deliver work product
- Must partner closely with UAT
- Possesses an active, 'hands-on' leadership style
- Ability to be both detailed oriented and strategic
- Experience with Agile, DevOps environments and test integration
- Experience leading test case design to provide efficient optimal coverage
- Experience with cloud solutions (Azure)
