Job Specification
The major focus of this role is to manage international accounting processes in line with global strategy and international team resources. Individuals must have an understanding of service requirements, processes and procedures for accounting and also well-developed people management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design/improve processes considering audit requirements, company policies
- Apply German and US-GAAP, especially focusing on Pensions, Software capitalization, Provisions, Impairments and Revenue accruals
- Communication with auditor
- Analyses on high/detailed level
- Lead/drive/coordinate specific topics within international groups
- Manage staff and resources considering location specific rules
- Solve issues ad hoc and take decisions
- Manage/Oversee functional crossing interdependencies with Controlling
- Understand/Manage intricate system landscape and interfaces
- Take over/drive project related duties
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate
- A combination of proven experiences, future potential, and the aspiration to take over a leader in the firm regardless of level
- Strong interest in financial services
- Versatility, adaptability and the ability to pick up new skills quickly and an appetite for continuous, lifelong learning
- Ability to work independently while also adopting a collaborative approach to achieving results
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with experience in delivering professional presentations
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities
- Good knowledge of accounting rules and processes (expense, revenue, AP, AR) in banks
- Familiar with Essbase, Access, Exce
