We, the Microsoft Technology Tower, are currently looking for experienced professionals to work within a team which is responsible for supporting MS SQL databases for our customer.

Your role as a Database Engineer will include:

• Daily jobs execution monitoring
• Capacity planning and monitoring on storage
• Capacity planning (DB and backups)
• Capacity monitoring (DB and backups)
• Providing support on major incidents (Open Hours)
• Liaising with local teams for regular reboots, maintenances and infrastructure hosting topics
• Reviewing and maintaining DB backup and maintenance jobs (indexes, statistics)
• SQL performance analysis and improvement
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of the Liberty Reporting Spooler
• Performance monitoring and improvements on SQL jobs
• Monitoring backup and maintenance jobs execution - solving errors
• Reviewing and improving the DB maintenance plan

Your Team

Microsoft Technology Tower is a team that supports several customers in many Microsoft products. Our team is built of over 20 engineers. We are responsible for a global infrastructure support which includes products such as Windows Servers 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2012 R2, Microsoft Exchange Server, Office 365, SCOM and many others Microsoft enterprise products.
