Job description:

Purpose & Accountabilities :

 

• Process invoices in accordance with standard procedures set out in the standard AP Work Instruction as well as in the agreed-upon country specific guidelines;
• Ensure that all inputs are correct prior to completion or posting of invoices to avoid re-work;
• Have enough knowledge on withholding taxes, VAT and other tax related codes and transaction codes necessary to process the invoice correctly or respond to vendor inquiries;
• Understand and operate effectively applicable SOX and business controls;
• Investigate queries raised by stakeholders;
• Exercise diligence in reviewing and unblocking invoices;
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a polite and helpful manner;
• Ensure delivery within agreed global and local performance metrics;
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in assigned and related tasks.
• Timely and accurate processing – take ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and accurately processed
• Thoroughly check work prior to completion of posting to avoid unnecessary corrections
• Ensure that invoices are posted
• Collate and input data with high level of accuracy and in accordance with Service Level Agreements
• Answer stakeholders requests for information in a helpful and friendly way
• Input information into systems, maintain and update account records
• Communicate with internal and external customer in an effective and efficient manner
• Act as an effective team player
• Maintain and implement agreed self development plan
• Ensure that all relevant Shell and SSSC standards and guidelines are met;
• compliance to SOX rules and guidelines
• Carry out other assignments assigned by the supervisors

 

Requirements:

Skills & Requirements :

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration preferred;
• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required;
• Possess basic Financial Accounting knowledge;
• Experience of customer relations management for Vendor Help Desk role;
• Good English communication skills;
• Good in problem solving and has critical thinking skills;
• Ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Computer literate - knowledge of SAP application and other Microsoft software is a plus.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Fast and accurate data input skills
• Attention to details
• Customer focus
• Ability to work autonomously while keeping other team members informed as appropriate
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
• Ability to recognize issues, attempt resolution and escalate problems if unable to resolve
