SQL Developer in Technology Team, Financial Crime Unit

Our Technology Team in Financial Crime Unit in Poland delivers innovative technology solutions, data analytics and consulting services to global PwC clients, addressing key challenges in the Anti Financial Crime area (Anti Money Laundering, Combating Terrorism Financing, Fraud Risk Management, FATCA and Financial Sanctions implementation etc.)
The role
- Database designing, maintenance and optimization
- Developing stored procedures, data transformation scripts, SQL Agent jobs, PowerShell scripts
- Developing SSIS packages and designing integration solutions
- Preparing data structures and transformations for reporting purposes
- Creating scripts and processes to clean, match, map and load ad-hoc data sets from disparate sources to the destination databases
- Conducting data analysis, designs and developing standardized management reporting tools
- Providing analytical services for business data needs and making recommendations for viable solutions
- Addressing data integrity issues as they arise
- Testing, debugging, and performance tuning SQL procedures and objects
- Creating technical specifications documents
- Effectively communicating with team members and client to elicit, capture, develop and implement their requirements
- Leading and managing mid-sized technical solutions development involving client engagement
- Coaching junior team members
Candidate’s profile
- 3+ years' commercial experience in T-SQL development focused roles, ideally with background in financial services
- Solid understanding of Relational Database Theory
- Analytical skills with ability to collect, analyse and visualise large datasets and draw appropriate conclusions
- Ability to research and resolve complex technical issues
- Ability to recommend and implement changes in development, maintenance and overall system standards
- Master’s degree (preferred in IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics or Big Data)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationship
- Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and spoken English
