Join us as an Administrative Assistant!

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an Administrative Assistant to join our company team. As Administrative Assistant you will provide general administrative support to assigned group.  To be successful in that role you have to be proactive and flexible in assisting the groups with the various administrative needs that occur on a day-to-day basis. 

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, respond to questions and direct callers to appropriate parties as necessary
  • Distribute and coordinate incoming and outgoing mail as well as other materials
  • Type all correspondence, i.e. memoranda, letters, agendas, etc
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, events and travel plans for the department
  • Maintain department records, including time sheets, attendance records and vacation schedules
  • Prepare and process travel expense reports
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Juggle several tasks and/or projects efficiently and completing them in a timely, high-quality manner
  • Perform various other related duties as requested/required
  • Provide back-up for other Administrative Assistants and Systems staff as necessary
     

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative/secretarial role
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Familiarity with the operation of standard office equipment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to discretely handle sensitive and confidential material
  • Ability to work in a team environment
