We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Middle Office II to join our Middle Office team. This role is located in Wrocław, hybrid. 

The Middle Office Team manages the entire process from trade entry through to settlement, ensuring that all trades are matched, settled and reconciled in a timely and efficient manner.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Identifying the discrepancies against its trading counterparties (cash, positions, trading activity, total equity)
  • Determining the reason for matching failure
  • Investigate method of resolution
  • Advising clearing brokers allocations for daily trade flow
  • Obtaining information from data vendors (e.g. Bloomberg),
  • Acquiring confirmations from various trading desks,
  • Querying appropriate prime brokers,
  • Requesting securities’ setup by Reference Data team
  • Amending trade data,
  • Reminding Trading Desk of positions’ expiry,
  • Booking cash entries in Portfolio Management System,
  • Checking that the overnight expiry / first notice notifications have been sent to the relevant trading desk(s)
  • Direct contact with client – Hedge Fund
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the process

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and accommodate varying levels of volume and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Pro-active and highly motivated – goal orientated and driven to find resolution of problems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive in self-training
  • Technical knowledge how financial instruments works - both listed and unlisted would be advantage. Instrument types include, but are not limited to, equities, options, futures, forward contracts, bonds.
