Data Practice at PwC IT Services is a group of over 30 professionals helping our clients to become data-driven organisations and take advantage of data they collect & process by delivering full-scale, cloud based data & analytics platforms and reporting solutions. We cooperate with clients from a variety of industries e.g. manufacturing, pharmaceutical, financial services, telecommunications, FMCG etc. and geographies.

Currently we are looking for experienced Data Solutions Architect to join our Data Practice.

Data Solutions Architect

Responsibilities:

As a Data Solutions Architect you will:

• Participate in Data Analytics Platforms delivery for clients from variety of industries,

• Propose innovative, cloud based solutions in Data Analytics area,

• Cooperate with other team members in the course of all project stages, providing expert support, adjusting proposed solutions and sorting out identified problems,

• Be actively involved in pre-sales activities proposing solutions, suitable delivery approach & estimating effort required to design and implement solutions,

• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges,

• Collaborate with other technical and non-technical team members, clients, and vendors in technology neutral language to define, build, and deliver solutions,

• Train, coach, and supervise less experienced teammates,

• Actively contribute to shaping and development of our data practice value proposition.

Preferred skills & experience:

• At least 6 years of commercial experience in the field of Data Solutions Architecture & Data Engineering,

• Hands-on experience in designing Data Analytics solutions on at least one of the public clouds (preferred Azure preferably),

• Very good understanding of data related services available on at least one of the public clouds (preferred Azure),

• Working knowledge of classic data warehouses, data lakes & data lakehouses,

• Handling complex ETL pipelines,

• Experience with solutions handling streaming data,

• Working knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases,

• Very good communication skills (both oral and written communication) - able to communicate and present cogently to clients’ representatives and internal PWC staff of all levels (both business & technical),

• Team player (experience in working in international environment is a plus),

• Good command of English (C1 level).

Nice to have:

• Understanding of Data Governance related concepts and tools,

• Knowledge of Snowflake

• Knowledge of Kafka\Confluent

• Demonstrates extensive abilities as a team leader: 
  • supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust,
  • seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation
  • participating in various staff recruitment and retention activities
  • coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
