Job Description
- Prepare financial statements (income statements, balance sheets and various other accounting statements)
- Perform consolidation of financial data including analytical review
- Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
- Prepare and coordinate quarterly VAT and CIT statements and returns in cooperation with external tax advisor
- Prepare and coordinate quarterly covenant management
- Supporting due diligence and sales process
- Perform bank reconciliations, daily cash management and bi-weekly cashflow forecasts
- Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger
- Aggregate financial data on Portfolio level
- Coordinate the annual audit in cooperation with external auditors
- Prepare files for audit and SOC requirements as well as answer questions
- Prepare statutory accounts
- Prepare financial input for quarterly Board meetings and attend as well
- Create and complete financial and management reports for clients/investors and other interested parties
- Read and interpret contracts, legal documents, and other agreements. Ability to record complex business transactions in the general ledger
- Coordinate the reporting process across various functions, funds and geographies to ensure timely and well organized completion of reporting process
- Coordinate and execute investors' capital contributions and distributions; and
- Project-based tasks as well as ad hoc requests
The Successful Applicant
- Graduated from higher vocational training (Bachelor) or university (Master) specializing in finance, such as business economics or accountancy, preferred CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent
- At least 5-7 years relevant work experience, preferably in a similar position at a financial organisation or Big 4
- Experience with preparation of periodic and annual financial reports and annual audit processes
- Practical experience with consolidation and tax returns, in particular VAT and CIT
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as IFRS and accounting principles in general
- Knowledge of external reporting and a fresh, modern approach to information disclosure
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing
- Hands-on, accurate and proactive
- Excellent communication skills and social skills
- Ability to travel approximately once a month to Amsterdam
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients from different countries and cultures
