Who we're looking for

Deloitte’s Forensic team is seeking a Manager based in Warsaw to support its growing business in Poland and the CEE region. The successful candidate will have the ability to work across a broad range of Financial Crime Advisory and Compliance engagements and will join a dedicated Forensic team.

 

This highly visible role requires the ability to work in a focused team environment, evidencing strong communication skills and having an excellent understanding of Financial Crime. The role also requires the individual to have excellent written and presentation skills, good organization skills and knowledge and experience of managing teams.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual seeking to make a significant impact within a large financial advisory group by assisting in the continued growth of our dynamic Forensic business.

 

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates the following personal attributes and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience gained within the banking industry and/or a consultancy practice,
  • Professional services and/or client facing experience,
  • Demonstrable Financial Crime knowledge, including AML, Sanctions, Fraud and ABC,
  • Demonstrable knowledge of international regulations and Financial Crime Compliance best practice,
  • Knowledge of Financial Crime Compliance over the three lines of defence (3LoD),
  • Proven understanding of different technologies used within Financial Crime Compliance,
  • Experience of leading different types of engagements, for example advisory, gap assessments, risk assessments, internal audit support, technology effectiveness reviews, remediations and investigations,
  • Ability to undertake detailed Financial Crime analysis for inclusion in presentations and client reports
  • Project management skills and demonstrable ability to deliver high quality work,
  • Consistent record of building and maintaining lasting internal and external relationships,
  • Willingness to take ownership for and to drive marketing and business development activity,
  • Exceptional people skills and proven ability to mentor and develop more junior colleagues,
  • Proven understanding and experience of the Polish banking industry,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – in Polish and English.

Your future role

As a Manager in our Forensic Team you will provide high-quality and independent Financial Crime Compliance advice on the wide range of complex and strategic challenges our Clients are facing. You will be responsible for the execution and implementation of engagements. You will also be responsible for internal team development - sharing experiences and knowledge to colleagues.

The successful candidate will build and take ownership of Client relationships, through business and client development responsibilities, and lead engagements on a day-to-day basis.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Proactive management of Client relationships,
  • Leading all aspects of Forensic engagements, including proposals, contracting, execution and reporting,
  • Risk management and quality assurance,
  • Leading teams and project managing multiple engagements simultaneously,
  • Originating new business,
  • Oversight of creating and managing detailed Financial Crime Compliance services.

We act both: retroactively - detecting and determining the actual course of events using analytical methods and computer forensics; and proactively – providing advisory services aimed at delivering solutions to prevent financial crime in the future.
