Job Description
- Manage the end to end payroll process for multiple countries in the EMEA region in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines
- Complete detailed checks and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of all payrolls
- Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring employee queries and issues are resolved promptly
- Perform year-end reporting according to local country legislation including liaison with external stakeholders on timely and accurate submission of benefit in kind data. Scrutiny of data supplied to ensure consistency and accuracy / reasonableness
- Manage and maintain relationship with outsourced payroll service providers to ensure consistently high levels of service delivery and efficiencies to the global payroll processes
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including HR & Finance and the business generally
- Spearhead strategic initiatives to enhance processes and develop a team which can support a global payroll function
- Assist the Global Mobility team with international transfers and oversee the modified expatriate payroll
- Manage the accounting and reconciliation for ICP bonus, restructuring, pension, tax and general withholding accruals
- Manage the process to ensure exercised stock options are reconciled, processed via payroll and reported to tax authorities
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits. Administates monthly and annual tax settlements for European payrolls
- Develop Europe-wide payroll processes suitable for a Sarbanes-Oxley control environment
- Ensure controls are performed and supporting documentation retained for Sarbanes Oxley compliance and financial and statutory audits
- Ensure month-end accounting entries are posted to the general ledger control accounts for all payroll related transactions
- Reconcile GL Balance Sheet accounts for all CoE supported entities,ensuring reconciling items are reviewed and cleared according to policy. This may include posting and reconciliation of payroll related accruals as required
- Provide operational metrics and supporting narrative for the global leadership team
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience in payroll on a team-leading position
- Fluent knowledge of English
- Experience in an international company will be beneficial
