Job Description
- Manage a team of approximately 7 experts
- Build and maintain relationships with employees, clients and vendors
- Manage vendor operational requirements across the globe
- Lead the preparation, review and timing of the monthly close of the financial records, balance sheet reconciliations, resolution of balance variances and posting of month-end information, and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Close cooperation with the U.S. team timely, efficiently and effectively while managing U.S. time zone requirements and escalating potential issues proactively
- Manage the preparation of all global filing obligations in compliance with the deadlines and jurisdiction rules, regulations and reporting requirements
- Implementation, development, maintenance and improvement of systems, procedures and policies
- Manage the preparation & reporting of various world-wide obligations
The Successful Applicant
- Higher education in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of finance and accounting experience including experience with AP and managing a team
- Experience in US sales/use tax and filings and certain foreign tax (VAT/GST/JST) is desirable
- Good knowledge of Workday Financial Management system would be an advantage
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially in MS Excel
- Fluent English (knowledge of French or Japanese would be a plus)
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to keep deadlines while managing multiple priorities and talent
- Skillful problem solver, resourceful, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and has strong attention to detail
- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Excellent relationship and customer management skills
