Business Analyst/Financial Systems

(System Support Area)

Location: Warszawa/Kraków/remote

 

A part of the technology team, responsible for identifying and then prioritising key business requirements required for the design and delivery of a new Reporting and Analytics (R&A) architecture and content across the PwC network worldwide.  The specific role will be an integral part of a Business Systems Support team operating in Poland with aim to provide technology support and guidance to the internal clients across our business lines in the CEE region as well as on the global scale.

 

Role

  • Provide in-depth and thorough analysis of the financial processes and data flows embedded in the core internal  PwC  financial systems 

  • Support R&A testing and development teams related to extraction of Oracle data

  • Support validation of Oracle data flowing to R&A

  • Support Product Line dashboards development & testing based on Oracle data

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve functional problems, escalate and track problems appropriately

  • Handle tasks including problem resolution, request fulfillment, configuration changes, supporting production documenting, and implementation support

  • Participate in the design of new enhancements and business processes that will improve operational efficiency across the organization

  • Provide day-to-day end-user second level support for global reporting systems

  • Troubleshoot issues and determine root causes of problems, the users are facing

  • Manage system configuration in accordance to corporate guidelines and policies

  • Create and deliver appropriate documentation, training and communication around feature(s) and process changes

 

Candidate Profile

  • Strong business acumen and financial knowledge

  • Solid understanding of the financial processes, data flows, reporting and analytics

  • Practical experience in working with ERP based solutions - preferably Oracle FI, or SunSystems

  • Knowledge of the financial systems key modules (Finance, Controlling, Project) from the operational, and system support perspective would be highly expected

  • Analytical mindset and numerical capabilities allowing for proactive resolution of problems raised by business users

  • Proficiency in information analysis and synthesis focused on resolution of complex problems

  • Ability to reasonably estimate the time for tasks and then meet deadlines set by those estimates; ability to quickly and effectively prioritize multiple requests

  • Understand the nature of business within a large multinational organization (ie. multiple stakeholders, cross time zone cooperation, cultural diversity, offshore colleagues, )

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • University degree in Finance and Accounting, Information Systems or a related field

  • Fluent English.
