The DATA Department at PwC IT Services is a group of specialists with deep understanding of business needs of our customers allowing the solutions we design to fully meet the expectations of all users. 

We design Data Warehouses, configure Reporting Systems, plan and execute Data Migration processes for companies from various industry sectors. 

Our engineers take care of Data Quality, optimize SQL and procedural code regardless of the technology and define flows in ETL/ELT processes

Analysts and Data Architects develop an enterprise-wide approach to data and data related issues.

Data Engineer

 

Essential responsibilities:

  • Help to develop an innovative analytics platform to track and manage public cloud spend against KPIs, in real time. The tool aims to provide the ability for CFOs to track benefits against the cost of Cloud, as well as the technical insight for CIOs to appropriately optimise and scale their Cloud technologies,

  • Independently managing the relationship with the customer,

  • Conducting Discovery Session with the customer,

  • Validating and refining the data provided by the customer,

  • Processing the customer data using the application built on Kubernetes Cluster,

  • Conducting manual analysis and calculation of the required output that is not automated through the application (eg. cloud cost data projection over 3-5 years, TCO and ROI reports, benchmark of cloud solutions etc.),

  • Build time series and forecast models.

 

Qualifications:

We are looking for specialists with passion, who are ready to learn new technologies  and want to develop (both themselves and applications) all the time.

  • Proficient skills in Python, including libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn,

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Microservices,

  • Experience with big data technologies - Spark, Kafka, HBase, Cassandra, Hadoop, 

  • Programming experience,

  • Strong analytical skills,

  • Time series analysis knowledge,

  • Fluent english,

  • Openness to expanding knowledge.

  • Nice to have: 

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP,

    • Graph Databases - JanusGraph, Gremlin.
