Financial Accounting & Tax Manager ensures best in class financial services expertise from the team of HGSS Chief Accountants and Financial Accounting & Tax Specialists and for assigned OpCo(s) in terms of financial accounting and tax expertise. The primary objective of the role is to improve the financial integrity of OpCo financials by appointing, leading and working with in HGSS experienced resources to focus exclusively on accounting, tax and financial reporting quality and internal controls execution

Your responsibilities would include:
  • Implementing the functional strategic plan by setting operational strategy and team's objectives
  • Being responsible for team/ function's budget planning and proactively controls actual costs vs. budget
  • Planning rightsizing of the team compared with business requirement
  • Accountable for the key projects and initiatives for the function
  • Acting as a focal point for assigned OpCo(s) on financial matters (an accounting “go to” person) and can help facilitate cross process co-operation within HGSS.
  • Being responsible for leading and managing full accounting operations Coordinates team of Chief Accountants and Financial Accounting & Tax Specialists and accounting and tax operations within HK and acts as main accounting point of contact for assigned OpCo(s).
  • Supervising and monitor the entire accounting process including general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets, cash management and taxes
  • Reviewing, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Supporting a culture of end to end ownership of HK Krakow and OpCo partnering
  • Developing and maintain successful working relationships with Group, Regions, other teams within the HGSS and key stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by proposing ideas, participation in projects and applying any agreed changes to processes
  • Adherring to HEINEKEN Group Accounting Policy and Procedures for all accounting and reporting activities
  • Keeping up with relevant developments in IFRS, tax and / or SCOA and exchange information with OpCos and liaise with GA&R where relevant
  • Liaising with external and internal auditors, share relevant information with the auditors, manage coordination of such audits
  • Maintaining relationships with third parties including financial institutions, auditors, tax authorities

  • Secures effective team structure and clarify roles & responsibilities incl. back up structure
  • Recruits talents for leadership and accounting roles and secures their effective on-boarding
  • Reviews performance regularly; provide ongoing feedback to teams and individuals addressing under performs and recognizing best people and teams
  • Plans succession, develop best people in the pipeline, provide coaching and mentoring
  • Cascades information effectively and acts as a connector to Management for Employees

You are The Candidate if:
You have: 
Fluency in English, additional European language is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong drive and ownership to deliver best in class services
Ability to manage challenging stakeholders' relationships in dynamic and complex process environment
Ability to develop and coach current and future people leaders
ACCA or CIMA or equivalent accounting qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting and Tax
At least 3 years of experience in people leader job including min 1 year of experience as managing TLs
Successful career record as experienced and mature people leader
Fully independent business and people leader able to cope with complex process or people related issues
Partner for Senior Process Manager to define and implement strategic functional plan
Support onboarding new Junior Process Managers to the role
On request acts as Senior Process Manager back up
Excellent written and verbal English
Other languages are an additional benefit
