The R&D HCP/HCO Monitoring and Reporting Team is responsible for the data collection, tracking, monitoring, and reporting of payments and other transfers of value to Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and Healthcare Organizations (HCOs). The processes currently in place helps ensure that GSK can comply with all US Transparency, State, EFPIA, ROW reporting and internal requirements and are in alignment with GSK's values and expectations.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 people and ensuring a mitigation of the financial risks with external experts and healthcare professionals and dealing with 2nd level of issues.  

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Managing a team to ensure mitigation of the financial and reputational risks related to financial interactions with external experts and healthcare professionals. Team ensures compliance with internal policies/processes and external regulations of contracts with and payments to external experts, healthcare professionals and healthcare related organizations.  This includes but is not limited to processes for monitoring compliance of transactions with requirements related to: State Reporting, Spend Cap, Public disclosures, Contracting and payment process, Management and statutory reporting.

  • Providing Senior Management with guidance and recommendations on how best to address and manage the reputational risk related to the financial interactions with external experts and healthcare professionals.

  • Providing internal GSK customers with guidance on how to comply with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Arbitrating on escalated compliance related issues and providing advice to support compliance related business decisions. Escalating to Senior Management serious non-compliance issues according to GSK policies and SOPs.

  • Keeping abreast of changes in regulations and environment and providing management with recommendations to adapt to changes.

  • Coordinating efforts across internal and external areas of GSK by interacting with other areas within and outside GSK (Shared Financial Service, US Pharma, Biologicals, IT, Legal, GIA, Corporate, external intermediaries such as CROs or Event Management Companies,…) in support of strategic directions aimed at enhancing risk mitigation and maximizing process efficiencies.

  • Supervising management of processes and systems to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness in internal and external reporting obligations.

  • Designing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at simplifying processes, reducing costs and maximizing  efficiencies and at the same time enhancing compliance and risk mitigation.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Finance/accounting qualifications required. Extensive experience in controllership or compliance related areas.

  • Finance/ accounting degree or degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, or applied science required

  • 8 years of experience of relevant analytics experience  and experience in team management around 5 people.

  • General understand of accounting principle/transaction is required to properly trace GL transaction and supporting detail to evaluate HCP/HCO reporting requirements.

  • Required to demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of general ledger transaction process and the applicable HCP/HCO reporting requirements

  • Prior experience with Pharma industry, SAP (CERPS) and database skills preferred

  • In depth understanding of HCP/HCP Transparency reporting guidelines and regulations along with accounting and finance principle and systems with strong analytical skills and attention to detail is required to perform the position.

  • Ability to provide mid and long term vision and strategic directions.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills required. Demonstrated ability to interact with highest levels of the organization

  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple teams and delegate tasks.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required.

  • Fluent English (minimum C1)
