Manager, Tax & Stats GPO
GSK is in the midst of an exciting period of investment and growth in its new European financial centre, located in Poznan and Warsaw, with almost 300 new employees joining to date.
The European financial centre is responsible for providing a wide range of business services to the European region, as part of a wider network of regional hubs around the globe. These centres of expertise work together as a One Finance team to support GSK’s global operating model by delivering best in class services, sharing best practice and knowledge and working closely with other markets and colleagues, supported by our global headquarters in London.
We are currently searching for talented, motivated and adaptable individuals to join our growing Global Tax team based in the European financial centre, supporting a wide range of activities for the European region.
We are looking for a Manager, Tax & Stats GPO to be based in our Poznan office, to join GSK’s Tax & Stats Global Process Owner team. This role will support the evolution of GSK’s tax operations by working on a wide variety of projects across taxes and countries, to ensure GSK stays compliant and efficient through continuous improvement of our processes, technology and data.
How you will contribute to our success:

You will work as a tax process expert in order to lead a wide variety of tax compliance and transformation projects across areas such as:

Implementation of new tax regulations

Supporting business change, including M&A, trade route change, organisational transformation and the rollout of new technologies

Root causing and resolving tax issues stemming from weaknesses in processes, where we observe tax compliance failings

Drive process improvement, standarisation and automation of tax processes

You will lead on all project activities, from business cases, engagement and assessment, project planning, design, implementation, testing, training, documentation, risk management and success measurement

You will work with our Tax Compliance Partners to support the smooth running of GSK’s outsource tax compliance model

You will need to build a broad network across GSK to understand the end to end business processes to fully understand issues, and maximise process improvements

Why you?
What skills and expertise you will bring to the role:
Basic:
-
Master’s degree in finance area
-
At least 5 years experience in tax technology, transformation, compliance and/or advisory

Experience in multiple tax types and/or across multiple jurisdictions

Fluency in English (C1)

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with and influence customers remotely
Preferred:

Multiple types of experience across tax technology / transformation / compliance / advisory

Accounting or tax qualification
