The EMEA Indirect Tax Manager will have an important role in centralization of indirect tax filing process in EMEA. In this new role the Indirect Tax Manager will amongst others focus on:

Managing standardization and harmonization of indirect tax filing process together with third party compliance service providers.

Remaining up to date with local tax requirements and timely implementation within the AkzoNobel organization.

Driving tax optimization initiatives related to VAT determination, VAT and Intrastat reporting.

Managing new (business) initiatives from an indirect tax perspective, including IT projects.

Seeking opportunities to improve the monitoring of the indirect tax function, such as but not limited to follow-up on findings during preparation of indirect tax filings; audits and data analytics.

Supporting local tax managers in case of an indirect tax audit as a subject-matter expert.
Job requirements:

University degree in Finance or similar field.

Around 5 years of experience in operational indirect tax area.

ERP knowledge (ideally experience with implementations), SAP would be a huge asset.

Fluent in English (verbal and written).
