The DATA Department at PwC IT Services is a group of specialists with deep understanding of business needs of our customers allowing the solutions we design to fully meet the expectations of all users. 
We design Data Warehouses, configure Reporting Systems, plan and execute Data Migration processes for companies from various industry sectors. 
Our engineers take care of Data Quality, optimize SQL and procedural code regardless of the technology and define flows in ETL/ELT processes
Analysts and Data Architects develop an enterprise-wide approach to data and data related issues.
 

We are looking for experienced Data Engineers to join our team delivering a comprehensive, decentralised Azure based data analytics platform to global retail company. The solution is being designed and delivered in close cooperation with the customer and our colleagues from PWC Germany. 

Data Solution Engineer with Databricks\PySpark

Role:

• Work with customer to identify and understand reporting needs

• Work with teammates to come up with the most efficient technological solutions to address customer needs. In particular:

  • design and implement data ingestion processes,

  • design and implement data cleansing, transformation & processing pipelines,

  • design data models.

• Write unit tests for delivered scripts, notebooks etc.

Technologies:

Azure Synapse, Databricks, Delta lake, Azure Data Factory Power BI etc.

Candidate profile:

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineer role,

• At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Databricks\PySpark

• Good knowledge of Python,

• Good knowledge of at least one ETL tool (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, Talend etc.),

• Good knowledge of procedural SQL languages ​​(preferably T-SQL)

• Strong analytical skills,

• Very good communication skills (both oral and written communication),

• Team player (experience in working in international environment is a plus),

• Good command of English (C1 level).

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Platform (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse etc.),

• Hands-on experience with Delta Lake,

• Experience with CI/CD tools,

• Experience with Power BI.
