Our Information Technology Generalist - Practice Support team focuses on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing internal applications, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for PwC to drive strategic business growth.

Java Developer 

Location: Warszawa / Kraków / remote

Job Summary 

An entry-level position in our 450+ PwC internal technology team. Our focus is on providing support, development and QA services to the numorous PwC global cloud-based systems and solutions. 

As part of our expansion, we are recruiting a group of Junior Developers to enhance our development capabilities.  As Junior Java Developer you will be asked to:

• Develop in-house custom applications that integrate with both custom and global solutions, like: Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, etc.

• Code in Java 8+ with Spring

• Run  SQL & NoSQL queries

• Technology stack: GIT, Gradle, JUnit

The role

• Participation in the process of design and development of the internal applications and integration solutions

• Defect analysis and elimination

• Documentation of progress with software development

• Participation in a code review process and project team meetings (preparation of application and architecture development plans)

• Cooperation with testers, business analyst and product owners 

Candidate profile

• Passionate about technology and coding

• Solid educational background in technology field

• Min 1 year of commercial experience in Java programming

• Experience in the application development cycle, including design, programming, testing and implementation, and documentation will be an asset

• Familiarity with Agile methodology will be a plus

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Very good communication skills (you’ll interact with colleagues from other internal local and global teams

• Proactive attitude to always learn new things & improve both, your technical and soft skills

• Strong desire to write code in order to build or integrate applications that you can be proud of 

• Ability to feel comfortable in complex and diverse organisations

• English is on a solid professional level
