Data Architect / Data Project Manager

Currently we are looking for a Data Architect / Data Project Manager in the data management area to join our Technology Consulting team! 

The role:

Typical assignments for the role:

• Introduce innovative solutions in Big Data area based on Hadoop ( preferred Cloudera)

• Effectively use Hadoop platforms in building modern data processing platform (data lake, lakehouse) based on best available Big Data solution and patterns

• Providing effective solutions for real time and batch processing data 

• Migrating data between legacy systems and big data environment (e.g. Hadoop)

• Designing and building Data Warehouses / Data Marts &ETL/ELT (Star, Snow Flake, Data Vault 2.0)

• Modeling large data sets in distributed databases (e.g. HBase, Cassandra, Mongo)

• Working independently with the client (conducting workshops with the client, running demos, presenting IT/Data architecture concepts to customers)

• Delivering fit-gap analysis for the solution requirements with reference to standard capabilities of the market leading IT systems

• Being a SME for other consulting teams in one of the IT solutions

• Preparing technical documentation of designed solutions

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as Data Architect/Manager in data management area

• Profound data architecture & technology knowledge and experience in  data engineering (preferred technology e.g. Cloudera CDH/CDP, Spark, Kafka ,Nifi, Impala, Hive, HBase or other  Big Data components)

• Experience with Data Warehouses/Data Marts & ETL/ELT

• Experience with data modeling(Star, Snow Flake, Data Vault 2.0)

• Experience with RDBMS databases (Oracle MS SQL Server , My SQL etc.)

• Experience with data management (metadata, data catalog, data quality)

• Experience with using ETL technology

• Capable of managing communication in a team, moderate discussions, drawing constructive conclusions, and resolving conflicts

• Open-minded, seeking innovative solutions for common challenges across projects

• Fluent English

• Willingness to travel

Nice to have:

• Experience in advising or modeling requirements regarding integration architecture / SOA / Micropatterns

• Understanding of SOA  concept, Data architectures and patterns(nice to have)

• Ability to design and create SOA services (nice to have)

• Experience with Enterprise Service Bus of leading vendors such as MuleSoft, Oracle, Tibco, IBM, Web methods

• Practical experience with spark programing such as scala or python using framework e.g. IntelliJ, MS Visual Code 

• Good understanding of agile and waterfall project management and software development approaches

• Knowledge of UML and BPMN

• Strategic thinking and tactical project planning / management skills
