Technology Risk Management (TRM):

TRM is a 2nd line of defense function, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer of BNY Mellon, that provides oversight and challenge to the company’s Technology organization and related business areas. The goal of TRM is to make sure that technology, cyber / information security, resiliency, data and technology third party risks are clearly understood by the first line of defense, transparently reported through governance and managed within the defined risk appetite and risk management framework. 

Reporting Line:
Specialist, Technology Risk Management will have dual reporting line functionally reporting into Head of TRM Central and locally to TRM regional lead in Poland, within the Technology Risk Management function.  

Role Overview:

We are seeking Specialist, Technology Risk Management with a background in technology control, issue management and compliance/regulatory engagement.  The candidate will provide support with regulatory oversight and tracking, partnering closely with TRM senior management as well as compliance, audit and Enterprise Regulatory Relations. Additionally, the candidate will be on point to assess compliance and regulatory requirements based on The candidate should have experience with implementing scalable processes and controls – direct experience working with compliance mapping a plus. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and produces reporting and actions associated with regulatory tracking across Technology Risk
  • Reviews and validates data related to regulatory updates, control mapping and compliance mapping
  • Consults with stakeholders across functional and regional groups to understand requirements that drive the design of dashboards and reporting solutions. Work to support the development and evolution of tracking dashboards and mechanisms. 
  • Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of team's processes through ongoing initiatives including solutions to automate, build efficiencies, and maintaining consistency across multiple landscapes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 5+ years of experience required, experience with technology or financial services industry is a plus
  • Experience in communication with senior management; along with excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities and deliver under pressure
  • SharePoint, Confluence & Advanced PowerPoint skills a plus
  • Attention to detail a must
