For our Client, Manufacturing Group with a Global presence (20+ manufacturing plants) we are looking for a candidate for a position of Global IT Development Manager. The role is 100% remote with reporting line to Global IT Development and Operations Manager based in US.
Global IT Development Manager, 100% Remote
Responsibilities:
- leads a team of development professionals, who develop and support a variety of technologies,
- plays a key role in our build & release coordination, as well as close coordination with functional teams to validate and prioritize development requests from the business,
- lead, motivate, and coach a team of developers at different levels of experience,
- attract, recruit, and hire high-quality software developers,
- interface with internal customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate direction and progress,
- own all operational metrics and support for your teams’ software,
- drive improvements in software engineering practices,
- collaborate with IT and business management to establish priorities for the team’s plan and manage team performance
- lead build & release testing,
- ownership of technical documentation of project requirements, developer processes, and end-user documentation,
- support an excellent customer experience by being proactive in assessing escalations, and working with the team to respond appropriately,
- lead the change approval process for development-related changes,
- define development ways of working (design principles, documentation, development process, etc),
- work closely with the Infra manager to maintain stable & efficient systems,
- work with the architecture team to design, describe, and build solutions.
Requirements:
- B.Sc./B.A. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, comparable training, or experience
- 6+ years of hands-on software development
- at least 2 years proven experience in comparable position, leading other developers
- able to build trust in a leadership role
- knowledge of the inner workings of a manufacturing company
- experience in leading projects with teams from a variety of cultures and languages
- fluent in English (written and spoken)
- experienced in working with a geographically dispersed team
- customer service mindset
- ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate across organizational boundaries
- willing to occasionally travel (Estimated 3-4 times per year)
- required technical skills & knowledge
- excellent communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences
- skilled in Azure architecture
- X++ or C#, MS SQL, SSRS, Azure Microservices
- preferred technical skills & knowledge
- Experience with Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 F&O
- Experience with Lasernet, Adelia, TFS/DevOps, PHP, BizTalk
