About the team:

Data Operations (SDM) is a centralised global utility that supports the NAV production process for mutual and hedge fund accounting teams in Europe, India and across several US locations. We also support various data operations within custody area. The SDM department is seeking to appoint a Supervisor to assist in the running of a team which oversees pricing and data management of Funds data across a range of clients to provide necessary data for Fund Accounting teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily pricing activities are delivered in accurate and timely manner. Perform daily price exception validation, market to market pricing and stale price review for a variety of clients.
  • Acquisition of Fund distribution data, processing them internally to ensure clients’ positions are reflected correctly. Establishing relationships with Fund administrators and other third parties.
  • You will require an ability to work within a tight, deadline driven environment.  This will involve maintaining an attention to detail and ability to make decisions without missing agreed deadlines.
  • Provide staff management, development and review for direct reports, ensure Training & Competence requirements are met and maintained within the group. Monitor team workflow ensuring all tasks are allocated with primary and secondary cover and scheduled according to deadline priorities.
  • Display initiative by suggesting improvements to processes and taking ownership of service provided to clients.  Use your qualifications and experience to add value to a global centre of excellence.
  • Promote and implement regular cross training within the area to ensure minimal dependency on individual team members.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience in a relevant area of Financial Services.
  • Strong operations and/or client management experience with exposure to managing teams and complex operational processes.
  • Understand how Funds operate, knowledge of Distibutions and other Corpotate Actions.
  • Sound technical knowledge of Market Data, Securities Administration and/or valuations functions.
  • Proficiency in using data vendors, InvestOne, MS Excel/Word and other relevant office systems.
  • Proactive and focused attitude to work and an ability to constantly meet deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability, flexibility and the ability to lead by example.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional approach to work and personal appearance.
