Team description - Middle Office – Cash Reconciliation:

The main function of the Cash Reconciliation team is identifying discrepancies between trading positions and cash transactions of the funds and those of its trading counterparties (executing brokers, clearing brokers and exchanges). Once identified team is responsible for investigation and reconciliation of above. Main functions of Cash Reconciliation:

  • Processing Cash reconciliation daily
  • Processing Dividend and Income reconciliation daily
  • Processing amendments of cash dividends and coupons
  • Cooperating with internal and external departments to resolve technical issues

Being part of our Middle Office team, your day-to-day tasks will be related, but not limited to:

  • Identifying the discrepancies against its trading counterparties and determining the reason for matching failure,
  • Investigate method of resolution,
  • Querying appropriate prime brokers,
  • Working closely with other team members to ensure day-to-day tasks associated with customer deliverables are performed in a timely and accurate manner,
  • Assisting with the completion of client requests and generates reports to meet client and internal needs,
  • Assisting with process improvement opportunities by identifying possible areas of automation,
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the process,
  • Answering and acting on internal queries related to handled clients,
  • Creating a balanced workload within the team structure, anticipate and plan ahead to adhere to deadlines, check work completion and quality

Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and accommodate varying levels of volume and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Pro-active and highly motivated – goal orientated and driven to find resolution of problems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive in self-training
  • Technical knowledge how financial instruments works - both listed and unlisted would be advantage. Instrument types include, but are not limited to, equities, options, futures, forward contracts, bonds.
