The Global Delivery Centre in Wroclaw is a growing location, predominately providing support services to BNY Mellon entities in the areas of fund accounting and investment operations.

Department/Team Overview

BNY Mellon’s Data and Platform Solutions is a bank-backed fintech with more than 200 external investment management firms as clients and 1000+ people in offices globally. The unit is backed by the bank’s largest division – the Asset Servicing and Digital division. Our mission is to treat data as an asset class in its own right and to serve our clients by helping them get value from their investment data.

Today, Data and Platform Solutions sources and deploys data of different types using various models (e.g., “bring-your-own data”, “bring-your-own-license” and “we buy it for you”). As the volume and complexity of our client-facing data intake and distribution grow, Data and Platform Solutions needs to establish a Content Hub for the business. Our goal is to create a scalable operating model for internal and external clients so we can ingest and provide various types of data efficiently and quickly on the platform

Working hours – This is a hybrid position following normal business hours in Wroclaw. However, infrequently need to support off hours.

Your role

The Business Analyst (Solutions Consulting) works closely with Operations Analysts and our clients to support service delivery through the Data and Platform Solutions’ Content Hub and Eagle products that interface with a broad range of external vendors and BNYM Asset servicing platforms. The role provides process development and support for the business operations teams who are managing data quality, stewarding job execution and workflows, data enrichment, and a wide variety of information delivery to clients and their external partners.

The candidate will provide a business analyst role to support the technology used for data stewarding, and data mgmt. and entitlement functions for the Data and Platform Solutions’ content hub and Eagle products.  S/he works collaboratively with analysts, product owners, developers, service managers, and operational teams as well as with a variety of teams within BNY Mellon’s Asset Servicing business to clearly define systems, business, and functional requirements to support the design and overall delivery of solutions to our clients.

As a successful candidate you will be given the opportunity to acquire and develop knowledge from related fields:

• Documenting and validating business requirements related to Performance measurement, Financial Data Management, and Portfolio Accounting
• Creating functional specifications
• Configuring custom solutions using Data and Platform Solutions’ products
• Being a liaison between the EMS developers, EMS operations, and other teams
• Creating test plans and performing system testing
• Researching issues and bugs
• Using querying tools to access and analyze financial data
• Assisting clients and internal teams in effectively accessing and consuming data content as well as advising on data governance best practices
• Working on an agile/scrum-based team

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of total work experience.  Securities, financial products, and/or the finance industry experience preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business
• A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
• Fluent English spoke and written (min. B2 level)
• Proven relevant client service and risk management experience within financial services
• Good problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and experience within a client-facing financial role
• Good knowledge of SQL is desirable
