Infrastructure Monitoring Python Developer


Job Description & Summary:

As a part of our internal “ITOM Infrastructure Monitoring ” team you will:

  • Develop custom Python code and solutions.

  • Continuously identify new solution concepts and innovations. 

  • Develop and support already running solutions and tools for internal clients.

  • Collaborate and interact with cross-functional project, business and development teams. 

  • Operate in a focused team that will require a proactive and independent attitude.

  • Help shape and expand the current practice by introducing new technologies and approaches. 

  • Share best practices and knowledge both internally and externally.


Job Prerequisites:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience of development in Python;

  • Working experience in DevOps and Git;

  • Experience preferred with standard libraries like numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, requests, openpyxl, pyodbc and similar;

  • Working experience with Web API Automation;

  • Knowledge on Yaml, Json and  xml;

  • Open-minded and creative to try out new frameworks, tools and technologies;

  • Proactive in development of new concepts and solutions;

  • Strong diagnostic and analytical abilities;

  • Able to work independently and interact with stakeholders across hierarchies;

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment;

  • Professionally fluent in English;


Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Demonstrating working knowledge of Terraform to build and provision infrastructure securely and seamlessly across our cloud environment;

  • Working experience in a Saas Infrastructure Monitoring application or APM tool (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus,Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics). DataDog is Preferred.

  • Building, maintaining and controlling stage and production environments;

  • Establishing a stable, reliable secure and high performing data platform;

  • Troubleshooting incidents in stage and production environments;

  • Establishing proactive monitoring and alerting capabilities exist for all components of the platform;

  • Establishing system health and capacity is reviewed and enhanced as needed;

  • Documenting SOPs, and perform knowledge transfer to others;

  • Possessing knowledge of Hadoop;

  • Demonstrating experience with other development languages: Java, Perl or PHP ;

  • Possessing experience with at least one of the following database technologies: MySQL, MS-SQL, or Postgresql;

  • Demonstrating experience with container technologies such as Docker;

  • Possessing experience with CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments;
